2025 Juror: Adam P. (AP) Faust is a creative based in Atlanta. He holds a BFA from Guilford College, where his 2014 sculpture thesis featured found object sculptures inspired by explorations in dreams, memory, and the woods of Durham and Greensboro, North Carolina. After graduating, Faust embraced collage as his primary art form, delving into surrealist explorations of the subconscious through dreams and automatism. He utilizes collage to reshape narratives by repurposing physical media in his own work and shares collage as a technique to overcome creative blocks, teach collaboration, and facilitate communication through professional workshops and community-based projects. Faust has presented his work at Kolaj Fest New Orleans 2024, for Collage Artists of America, and was in last year's SEEDS X at Westobou. Earlier this year, he showcased a decade's worth of collage work in his debut solo exhibition, IT'S ABOUT TIME. He continues to exhibit in group shows, mostly around the Atlanta area, energized by the synergy of the creative community. Currently, Faust serves as the Operations Director at Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. In this role, he curates exhibitions and programs in collaboration with various Atlanta arts organizations, educators, and artists at all stages of their careers. Highlights of his curatorial work include producing an exhibition of Howard Finster's work, Shannon McCollum's FILA retrospective, Alice Woodruff's Warrior Women, and curating Echoes: 100 Years of Surrealism's Influence. He juried the Atlanta High School Art Show as a part of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival this spring, and is excited to return to Augusta this Fall for SEEDS 11.
